The above dimensions are casual inspection items: The rate of casual inspection is 10%, for every 1000 cutters 100 should be inspected; the previous working procedure should be resumed in case the reject ratio is above 5%.
Coating and surface treatment
Coating of cutting edge: the coating should be well-distributed; the particle's diameter should be less than 0.8 microns;
Antirust: the procedures of rust cleaning and rust proof have been carried out and the products are vacuum-packed;
Steel quality: high speed steel;
High speed steel has always been used in production process, which makes the production more difficult and also increases the production cost; however, the introduction of high speed steel eliminates the affinity between hard alloy cutter and aluminium wire, which makes the cut more even and smooth and thus improves quality of customers' products.
Hardness test: Rockwell hardness 66°~67°

Theoretical life for cutting thin wires (below 10 mil): 500K
Theoretical life for cutting thick wires (above 15 mil): 300K
Theoretical life for cutting pure aluminium wires: 600K
Theoretical life for cutting silicon aluminium wires: 500K

Overall evaluation: compared with the original imported OE cutter bit, the quality of our cutter bits totally equal with that of the imported OE products of similar categories.
Factors affecting product quality
As a precision product, and with the tiny working surface, the service life of cutter can be affected by many factors;
Storage duration and method: the cutter should be kept in cool places and kept from sunlight; moistureproof measures should be taken and the storage duration should be less than 6 months;
Proper installation: installation of the cutter should strictly follow the OE operation standard.
Notch depth should not be too deep: the point length of cutter varies greatly due to repeated sharpening of cutter in some enterprises, therefore, the pressure on cutter should be adjusted conscientiously in case the cutter blade is damaged by a deep notch.
Normal cutting edge defect: the point length of some cutter are less than 10 microns, which may give the impression in test that there is nicks on the cutter blade; in this case, the cutter can be normally used and the product's quality will not be affected for this reason.
Used for cutting framework: the service life of the cutter can be reduced if it is used for cutting framework, the installation quality should be guaranteed.
